Meet Mark

The experiences that shaped Compass Within

For much of my life, I measured success by the missions I completed,
the goals I achieved, and the responsibilities I carried.

I spent 26 years in the United States Navy, serving as a fighter pilot, instructor, Commanding Officer, and eventually retiring as a Navy Captain. It was a career that demanded discipline, leadership, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

From the outside, I had accomplished many of the things I had set out to do.

Yet like many people, I eventually found myself asking a different question.

Is this all there is?

That question began a journey I never expected.

Over the past several years, I've immersed myself in personal growth, meditation, transformational coaching, Reiki, and integration work. I've learned that meaningful change doesn't come from finding someone else's answers—it comes from reconnecting with the wisdom we've carried within us all along.

Today, Compass Within is the expression of that journey. It would be an honor to walk alongside you.

Beyond Coaching

When I'm not coaching, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, reading, meditating, or enjoying the outdoors.

I'm the proud father of three incredible adult sons, who continue to teach me as much about life as I ever taught them.

I'm also grateful to share this chapter of life with my wife, Molly, whose love, support, and perspective have been an important part of my own journey of growth.

I believe the best coaches never stop learning. My own path continues through meditation, meaningful conversations, study, and the everyday experiences that remind me there is always more to discover.

Thank you for taking the time
